A couple of weekends ago I volunteered to join the paparazzi team capturing the catwalk at the Sheffield Style Show, an annual fashion show in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital and sponsored by Panache. Independent boutiques and designers from Sheffield and nearby got the chance to show off their latest collections on the catwalk whilst supporting a local charity close to many people’s hearts. It was a fantastic event with a huge variety of fashion on show from bridal wear to cosy autumn outfits to edgy menswear, with some of the outfits available to buy on the day from pop up stalls at the venue.
Something that stood out to me about the day (besides a sudden awareness that I need to go shopping immediately for an entirely new wardrobe) was the wonderful array of ages and body types represented on the catwalk. It was refreshing and so encouraging to see more than just the usual young, tall and slim girls modelling the outfits. Seeing the variety of fashion on a real range of body shapes meant there was much more opportunity for everyone in the crowd to picture themselves wearing the dress or the top (or the entire collection) that caught their eye.
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the catwalk from WED2B, Mary-Anne Hunter, Taking Shape, Moo Designs, Lost Rockstar and Panache. More of my Style Show photographs can be found on my website www.heatherisobel.co.uk. If you’re interested in any of the photos here (or any from collections not shown here or on my website from the Saturday of the Style Show) please email photography@heatherisobel.co.uk.

Gorgeous princessy wedding dresses by WED2B started off the day

I’d be twirling and swishing all day if I got to wear this gown

Look at that smile, its not every day you get to wear a dress that could’ve been conjured by an actual Fairy Godmother

WED2B also showcased their bridesmaid dresses

You could tell the models were really enjoying their floaty dresses

This feather-finished number was handmade by the incredibly talented Mary-Anne Hunter

Taking Shape showed off their stunning plus-sized range

Each of Taking Shape’s outfits had a splash of vivid colour amongst the cosy greys and blacks

Loved the Autumn leaf umbrella accessory Moo Designs used to set the scene for their collection

Moo Designs’ catwalk was full of bold monochromes and statement pieces

Parasol Acoustic performed a lovely set on the Saturday between catwalks (to clarify, the guitar sticker unfortunately half-hidden under his arm says “don’t be a dick”, a good motto I’d say!)

Menswear by Lost Rockstar was modelled by some wonderfully well-inked guys

As the sponsors, Panache rounded off the day with their showcase of beautiful lingerie

Swimwear made an appearance to make us dream of beach holidays

And the stylish sportswear made us dream of actually sticking to our exercise plans

Round of applause for all the Panache models and the Style Show organisers! Till next year…
